'Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog' was the first Sonic cartoon to emerge in September 1993. In comparison to the cartoons that followed (Sonic the Hedgehog SatAM and Sonic Underground), it takes a more slapstick approach towards the hedgehog and his friends. It is obviously intended to be a strictly, children-based cartoon show and not family-based. Although many old Sonic fans have fond memories of the show, it hasn't dated very well as it shows a lot of cartoon clichés and corny humour.
