Gameplay: This game plays like any other Sonic fan-game out there. It’s a basic action/platformer type which most creators are opting for now. What lets this down is the fact that the character (Sonic) is very “sticky”. If you run over hills you tend to run up them and fall off the top and there is the problem which most people have with the character sticking to the ceiling. The lightspeed dash is really cool though!
Graphics: There is a nice blend of Sonic 3 and Sonic CD landscapes and sprites in this game which look really cool on some levels but look a bit boring and like a jigsaw on other levels. The sprite is an interesting blend of the Sonic 3 and Sonic CD sprite which actually looks quite good! Bugs: The character has this “sticky” feeling to it which I mentioned earlier but that’s about out for the bugs! Soundtrack: The soundtrack is an average collection of midis but this game includes a CD player feature which allows you to play your own music which is a brilliant idea! Overall: A good game with some cool levels, well constructed bosses and a very unique CD player feature! The let down is the buggy character you play with… 6/10 |
