| Something I have never had the pleasure of using is the infamous Game Genie developed by Codemasters. It's simply a lock-on cartridge which you attatch to a game of your choice to access mountains of cheats and unlockables for (quite possibly) every MegaDrive game made... ever. Unlike new cheat cartridges and discs that need access to the internet or other particularly annoying methods to access cheats, the Game Genie could simply be updated by checking your recent issue of Sega Power, Mean Machines etc and entering the codes find in the correct section of the magazine! Back in the day, Game Genie codes were posted everywhere but nowadays you can access various sites on the internet to find all the Game Genie codes you'll ever need. |
