Inside the powerplant workers and supervisors are going about their usual routines of inspecting and checking gauges, taking notes, etc. when one employee happens to glance at one of the dial instruments whose needle is rising dangerously up and down near the red line and calls another friend over to take a look at it. WORKER 1 Hey, look at this gauge. WORKER 2 It's going crazy! WORKER 1 Something must be wrong. (worker 2 begins hitting glass panel with palm of his hand) Suddenly the forman in charge or big boss yells down from a walkway above the main floor getting the attention of all the employees who glance up with startled-shocked looks. PLANT SUPERVISOR The river's rising! Man your emergency stations! In other words the river is racing madly downstream towards the dam itself and now begins overflowing, spilling through the gaps in the structure's edge to tumble down like waterfalls into the riverbank far below. While at the same time inside Resistance Force HQ the Skynet super computer begins flashing an urgent message on its monitors which is being read by Vicki and friends. VICKI FOX There's some kind of trouble at Sherman Dam, (she reacts) yegads, a tidalwave! AUSSIE SKUNK Cripes! (panicked look) The power output's 10x normal. CERI BOBCAT That could collapse the dam and start a deadly flashflood. MEREDITH SKUNK What do we do?!! (frightened look) CHRISTOPHER THORNDYKE It could be the Syndicate at it again, no doubt about it. I'll tell big brother. (he runs off) And back at the powerplant...workers and supervisors run in terror as one section of wall blows inwards by a powerful explosion from the outside and in strides Borf and his horde. The pirate fires a blast from his Infanto Ray into the ceiling to get everybody's attention before making his announcement. BORF I am Commander Borf, leader of the New World Order. You will do exactly as I say. ACE Freedom Fighters accellerate! (he leads his family into battle again) The convoy of monster trucks and ordinary trucks & so forth speed away upon learning about the nWo's assault on yet another energy source location and attempt to intercept and stop them before they can escape. Meanwhile the nWo prepare to carry out their task of stealing more energy from the powerplant. BORF Bella, prepare the nullray. Alarms start ringing madly, warning lights flashing on and off constantly as all the dials on the gauges rise ever more dangerously closer to the red zone. PLANT SUPERVISOR We got to get out of here, she's gonna blow! Giant cracks start to ripple and form along the walls of the dam as it strains to hold back the pressure of onrushing water slamming against its surface but even so more water continues spilling over into the riverbank below. However the space pirate is not concerned with innocent life being killed by this disaster he's about to unleash, the only thing he's interested in is the energy he needs. PLANT SUPERVISOR (tries reasoning with terrorists) I tell you she's gonna blow! This whole place is about to go skyhigh. BORF Perfect, the electrical output is at its peak, precisely where I want it. Belladonna, activate the nullray. The witch whippet shoots her morpher at the generators taking them offline. BORF Doctor, prepare the energon cubes. And Eggman begins casting the 3D cubes to be filled by Jessie, James, Rouge, Shadow, Ninjara, Belladonna while Borf looks on, hoping to be out of here before his enemies arrive to stop him. BORF Quickly, quickly! (urges his family to work faster) Outside...the convoy of vehicles screech to a halt at the riverbank and morph back to human and mutant selves again and stare around in confusion as they try to figure out where the Syndicate are launching their attacks. ACE We got to work fast. KNUCKLES You, uh, think the nWo didn't... The enchidia guardian is cut off by a loud explosion that erupts behind him and spins around. KNUCKLES What-the?!! SONIC Hey! Who shot at us, man? (he too whirls about) ASH KETCHUM Look, up there! (points) PICKACHU Pica! (alarmed) Standing atop the roof of the powerplant is the pirate waving his smoking Infanto Ray and taunting his adversaries with evil glee. BORF Looks like I beat you to the prize again, suckers! You're too late, Ace! ACE I suppose that answers your question, Knuckles. KNUCKLES Good grief! (glowers) I should have known it would be him. SONIC Yeah! (also looks angry) How dare he take potshots at us. EMMETT BROWN Freedom Fighters to the air! (he leads everybody skyward) One by one the family members rise into the sky and fly away to confront their enemy, leaving Marty behind with Vicki and friends standing at the riverbank where the whitecaps swirl and rage beneath their feets. MEREDITH SKUNK Looks like the heart of the tidalwave is right here. MARTY MCFLY Only one way to find out. (he dives into the water) VICKI FOX Be careful McFly! AUSSIE & CERI AND GOOD LUCK! McFly swims down to the bottom where he spots Randall still banging away on the bed of the riverbank creating the shockwaves that causes the waves to form. However the lizard monster does not see Marty approaching from behind until he starts to turn around upon detecting his presence but then it's too late as Marty cannonballs into him, knocking the monster against the wall of the riverbank and they start wrestling underwater. Simultanously...Sonic and Tannen notice the water is starting to overflow its bank and flowing across the ground towards the neighborhood district of Apoka. SONIC Biff we got to do something about this water. BIFF TANNEN Stop talking and get in dude! (morphs to monster truck mode) We're gonna make a new river. SONIC (hops into bed) Let's go! Tannen in the form of THE HULK monster truck races ahead of the flashflood while Sonic uses his morpher's magic to cut a huge trench in the ground for the overflow to dump into and miss flooding the city and neighborhood of Apoka while residents looking on cheer and shout in triumph for their rescuers who saved their lives. At the same moment that was taking place the Resistance Force prepare to make their move into the powerplant. CHUCK THORNDYKE Resistance, to the powerplant. Set weapons to stun. KIMBERLY Aye-aye, father. SALLY ACORN Those terrorists won't know what hit them. AMY ROSE Yeah! Take them down like bowling pins. TAILS Perfect strikes! EMMETT BROWN Chaaaaaaarge! And the family rush into the complex with pulse laser guns blazing away, hitting Terminator, N-5, Cylon machines who try to stop them but fail in the process. Oblivious, unaware of what's about to happen the nWo prepare to make their departure with their stolen loot. BORF Gather the energon cubes, return to base. ACE Not so fast, Borf! (levels phaser in his backside) BUZZ LIGHTYEAR Stick it in neutral, nWo! You're not going anywhere. BORF (whirls around) Try and stop me, Ace! (fires his Infanto Ray) The Hero of Earth skillfully dodges the beams headed his way and returns fire as the Syndicate and Resistance warriors start firing their laser guns as though playing Laser Tag. While this was going on, Aussie Skunk runs into the plant where the frightened hostages are cowering in fear from the sight of these intruders shooting at each other and leads them to safety. AUSSIE SKUNK This way, follow me! (he leads them all to safety) |
