Showdown - The Beginning of the End

Gameplay: This plays very similar to Little Planet Returns except the characters move quicker and jump higher. They also lack the lightspeed dash aswell which was a very fun feature. But there are many, many, MANY characters to play as all with their own characteristics which makes this game very fun to play. The only real let down is the "stickyness" the characters have which is caused by the lack of static engine and rough terrain the characters run across.

Graphics: The graphics are alright I guess. They are basically Sonic 3 and Sonic 2 landscapes blended together. The level design is a bit rubbish to be honest. The landscapes don't blend together and it looks as if Bluehog has shoved pieces wherever just to make the level work. Although saying that there are some levels that are very fluid.

Bugs: The characters are still "sticky" like most of Bluehog’s games. Bluehog really needs to think about creating a static engine to cure this problem as it really ruins his games.

Soundtrack: The soundtrack is probably the best part of this game. It goes very well with the incredible story line that not even the best fan-fiction author could have created. The music is very atmospheric and at the end it almost makes you feel sad!

Overall: This game is one of Bluehog's best games. Not really because of the gameplay and presentation, but because of the storyline. The story is absolutely brilliant and gets you incredibly involved. I also have to make a note of how difficult the bosses, I found myself cursing at my computer! Top-notch work Bluehog, keep it up!
