Gameplay: The gameplay is excellent! This game is so fun! The fact that you can either beat up Sonic or Shadow is such a cool idea and is executed brilliantly! Some times the character gets stuck in places and doesn’t respond in the way it should which is frustrating but only a small penance for having such innovative gameplay!
Graphics: The graphics are pretty good but the levels aren’t as “flowing” as they could be. The landscape looks as if Bluehog has just pieced together bits of landscape from his background set. But the Shadow warp-flash looks really cool and the animation on the sprites is brilliant to. Bugs: The characters aren’t as responsive as they could be and sometimes they get stuck. When grinding sometimes the character tends to jerk along. Finally in some of the levels the opposing fighter doesn’t flash when hit, only a small error but things like this can perfect a fangame. Soundtrack: The soundtrack is very atmospheric and really adds to the gameplay. The jumping, ring-collecting and hitting noises aren’t very loud so they don’t get annoying which is a good idea. Overall: A very good fangame with some excellent gameplay, definitely worth downloading but is let down by some poor programming meaning bugs start to show. 7/10 |
